4 Great Tips That Will Help You When Choosing a Maid Service By Ian Victor Harper

Tip 1. Value & Price: How much do you value your time? Rushed of your feet day in day out, no time to put your feet up let alone do the cleaning. With today's demands on time your leisure time is getting smaller and smaller. With the average professional person at work or commuting 11 hours each day, In bed for eight, five hours remain, to get yourself up, showered, fed, and off to work, then at the other end of the day, cooking your dinner doesn't leave much.

Let's not leave out mums, she not only has to deal with all those other things, then she has the kids to chase after, washing, ironing, tidying, dropping the children off and before you know it pick them up, then there is quality time with the children. It must be like painting the forth bridge! as you finish you've got to start all over again.

When you think about the cost of a cleaning service think in terms of paying yourself to relax. Whatever the cost it has to be worth your time it will free up, let alone the peace of mind that you will get from knowing the job is done.

Tip 2 Choosing a company: When you are talking to companies, play the devil advocates. Think about all the things that might go wrong with the delivery of the service. It's a true test for a company, have they thought things through? How will they deal with any given problems? Remember that you are paying for them to manage the problems. You don't want the have to deal with any.

Tip 3 Accountability: I have been in cleaning all my working life and without exception, if you have two cleaners on any job and one misses something, they will cover for each other, or say "I did not know that had to done".

Look for evidence that you know what is to be done. It is best to get this in black and white in a specification, and check that there is some kind of checking on standards from the company.

Tip 4 Questions: The old boy scouts saying "Be Prepared" If you have had cleaners before then you will have the experience to guide your questions. If not then find friends or family that have had experience with cleaners. Talk to them about the good and the bad side, write these questions down.

If you have done your home work the chances of getting a good service that will provide great cleaning week in week out, will improve. Remember that if you get it wrong. You will have to go through the process all over again.
